Last night I was fortunate to catch Forever In Fall supporting Bottom Line and The Summer Obsession. FIF stage performance is all out heart and soul- it was obvious from the rif one check 2 that this band is out to break all records, advancing hard core to pay their dues. I definately get the sense that the stage is too small if not confining for lead singer Ola (spell check). Track 1,2,3 caught my attention but something was missing, and then fslammed by the last song in the set-4!-im going to screw this up "how fast can u climb up the mountain" (how about myspace.com/foreverinfall) my point is think The Academy Is-"Checkmarks". FIF have signature, stage presence combined with earnest charisma and can easily command the crowd-and it completely without exception unfolded right in front of me. Thanks Russ-I get them! These guys need to be in the studio dammit straight from this tour---IMPRESSED- where did these guys come from and what pop rock have I been under? 2 years, 1 year full warp, second arena.
Smoke break: chat with Casey, one of my favorites-all time, of Xcess DB ent. to ease my nerves and we start to talk about Punk The Clock v3- I start to fcringe, and the panikrush hits as usual because #1
I'm extremely introverted, and my thoughts just unwind #2 I don't want to talk about production until its finished and then I won't have to talk about it cvause...Its like I'm in the middle of my everything and its so personal I can't speak. And now I know whjy I use to drink to get drunk and not have to talk. I haven't had one drop since may 22.
"Now if we can turn up all the monitors...check 1 Check 2...hey NJ we are Bottom Line" and immediately my eyes are hypnotized by bassist Greg Yock-top 5 bassist no argument. Fbrilliant. Enough.
The Summer Obsession, perhaps it is obvious, and maybe I like cocky. TSO will definately be headlining to the masses soon enough-Geeetttt Seeeetttt Ready
HA-
-i cannot believe I almost missed these groups thank you Ruiss for making this happen!
